Tom Harrington is a Florida native. Originally from Lake County in Central Florida he has lived in the Tallahassee/Wakulla County area since 1980. Tom holds a BS in Finance from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s degree in Sociology from Florida State University. Following completion of his graduate studies, he worked as a Policy Analyst for the Florida Legislature. Tom began his rental property business in 1991 buying houses and renovating them for student living. Tom is married to Tammie Barfield, and they have a son, Shea.
Tammie Barfield moved to Florida with her family in 1973 from South Georgia. She has lived and worked in the Tallahassee/Wakulla County area since 1991. Tammie holds a BA in English, Creative Writing, from The Florida State University. She has worked primarily in marketing in a variety of fields from advertising to real estate. She was formerly the sole proprietor of Executive Center Services, an administrative services business in Tallahassee, then served as general manager of The Wakulla News. Tammie is now part owner of Bay Leaf Market, a natural and organic grocery store, coffee shop, and express cafe in Crawfordville and takes an active role in the rental property business with Tom.
